"Just a note of thanks for the follow-up regarding our love for, not just the Brady Varitronics (Cutout Maker) laser cut, but the power, capacity and diverse options available with ‘total access.’ We love it!
While I knew our staff appreciated the cut outs, various fonts and range of use for the VariQuest Poster Maker, I had no idea how much they would value the complete availability of having total access. Every literature unit, science, social studies and math lesson, as well as all of the holidays come to life with the range of images available. I am so glad I ordered it. You have made me a hero amongst the Butterfield School Staff!
If you ever need to see or share what a purchase like this can offer, please come visit. One walk through our school hallways and a view of our classroom bulletin boards will express more than any words can communicate."
Thank you again for being there for us.
Very sincerely yours,

"McDermott Elementary recently purchased the VariQuest Design Center, Poster Printer, and Cutout Maker. The staff is excited about all of the possibilities these products can be used for. And they are being used every day!
Our hallways and bulletin boards are more colorful and detailed. Teachers are making banners/posters for many uses. We are able to post school/class expectations, recognize achievements, and produce materials that aid in all academic areas. Communication is enhanced and everything looks so professionally done.
We were able to fund these products through the building budget. Being able to defer part of the expense into the next year’s budget year made this possible.
Varitronics staff have been easy to work with and extremely helpful. Any questions we have had have been answered without delay."

"Our school purchased the Varitronics complete package! We have the Design Center, Poster Maker, Awards Maker, Cutout Maker and the Cold Laminator 1200.
Unfortunately, when trying to load the blade in the Cutout Maker during training, there was a problem and a part needed to be replaced. So I haven’t been able to play with that yet. I’ve ordered two rolls of sticker media to make bumper stickers for our Honor students. Can’t wait ‘till it arrives to play with the machine!
Since our training last Wednesday, I have already made 20 posters for our Math teachers and they love them! I made charts to show students how Math is used is used in everyday life and also Math in Careers. They were laminated and posted in different parts of the school.
Our products were purchased through our schools funds with a little help from our PTO. We are also ordering some supplies which will be purchased through the school fund. I love your products and look forward to making lots more items for our school."

"Saint Louis Community College at Forest Park Media Services Department has been using a Varitronics “Pro Image” Poster Maker since 1990. It has been the single most reliable piece of equipment we have ever purchased. Since that time the only thing we needed to replace was the paper cutter. The Poster Maker gets used every day by various departments on the Forest Park Campus and everyone likes the fact that they can bring their 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper down and instantly make a poster that fits their needs. The Poster Maker is easy to use and very convenient for the staff and faculty when they are in a rush for a poster.
Recently we have replaced the Varitronics “Pro Image” with the new 2006 model and have added a few new components to it. The “Design Center” is a big hit with the faculty and staff and gives their posters a more professional look. We have also added the “Awards Maker”. This component is great for the Physical Education department and with Student Activities. It is easy to use and really looks professional and we have lots of fun making the awards for the different departments. The old Poster Maker was great but since we have purchased the 2006 model we can’t believe we lived without it all these years.
Thank you Varitronics, for all the years of exceptional service to our campus and the ease of use of your equipment."

"My name is Julie Decker and I am a first grade teacher at Abbotsford Elementary School in Abbotsford, Wisconsin, as well as the PTO President for our elementary school.
Our district currently owns a Poster Maker from VariQuest, so when a representative called asking us to try the Design Center and Cutout Maker, we knew the equipment would be well made and very durable. After trying the Design Center for a week everyone was in agreement!! We need these two pieces of equipment!!
Purchasing the VariQuest Design Center and Cutout Maker has helped make bulletin board creation easier and quicker. Our district is also building a new school that will be ready for the 2009-10 school year and we thought this would make our school look great. Our teachers are very excited about using the Cutout Maker to personalize their classrooms as well as their student work, by using the fonts available on the Cutout Maker to create images for our “Ocean” themed art fair this coming May.
Our Parent/ Teacher organization has funded this equipment for us. Everyone who has used this equipment can’t believe how easy and fast it is. The touch screen on the Design Center is wonderful. Everything is so user friendly. This is a superior product!"

"I am sending this ‘Teacher Testimonial’ to you - as I am truly a FAN!
I have just completed my first full year as the Technology Integration Specialist for the Oswego City School District. Part of my job is the promotion and use of the VariQuest Design Center, Poster Maker and (Cutout Maker). I also offer Professional Development four times a year (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer) on the use and implementation of the 1000’s of templates that we have available to us from VariQuest.
Our ‘Poster Maker and (Cutout Maker)’ In-Service class is ALWAYS the first class to fill up... and often has a WAIT LIST 3 times as large as the class!
The faculty and staff of the Oswego City School District LOVE the Poster Maker and (Cutout Maker) machine. I have teachers from all grade levels K-12 using it on a regular basis along with Special Area teachers, Library - Media Specialists and K-12 (as well as central office) administrators. I am constantly amazed with the many different uses that our staff is able to come up with for these products.
As the Technology Integration Specialist it is my job to introduce teachers and administrators to the latest technology and to help them with the successful implementation of it in their classrooms. The VariQuest Poster Maker and Cutout (Maker) machine is user friendly and the final products are wonderful! I would highly recommend it to anyone in education or business.
We were very fortunate to have been able to purchase these machines through a grant. I would love to be able to add the cold laminator as well as the Awards Maker to our ‘set-up’ in the future."

"I just wanted to let you know how valuable your products have been to us here at Lotus School. We have had fund raisers here at school, and used part of our Title IID funds to purchase the following equipment.
VisiMate Media - we have saved funds by making our own awards for the staff and students
Cold Laminator - great for having items laminated before using the cutout maker
Pro Image XL 3000 Poster Printer - great for make classroom posters
Design Center 1000 - love the way it connects to the poster printer and the cutout maker
Cutout Maker 1800 - used for word walls and classroom displays
We have used the VisiMate and Poster Printer to make all kinds of projects and awards. Each of the past four years we have held a Silent Auction to raise money for our Schuenemann Children’s Library. One of the auction items last year was for a student to be Principal for the Day. The winner of the auction item was given a poster with her title for the day and her picture. In addition she was given a plaque. Magnets, awards, and window clings have also been popular.
Now that we have the Design Center we are able to make posters for the classrooms that are custom designs with our mascot.
The most exciting is the cutout maker that the teachers can use for their word walls. Each classroom has a word wall displayed in the room that is easily readable for the students. It contains all the words students have learned. This is so convenient and easy to use. We may have to find a larger room to put all the equipment since it is so widely used."

"My name is Deb Hill and I am the Education Manager at Capital Area Community Services Head Start in Lansing, MI. Our program invested in several VariQuest tools including the Poster Maker, the Cutout Maker and the 12” and 24” Cold Laminators.
When a VariQuest representative called to say he would be in our area and wanted to know if we would be interested in a demonstration, I was intrigued by the descriptions of the tools. I took the request to our administrative team and we agreed to set up an appointment for the demonstration. After the demonstration, we were amazed! Our heads were spinning with the hundreds of uses we could think of for these tools! We had to set priorities of course, so we carefully chose the tools we wanted to begin with.
We are now creating professional style materials without the cost of purchasing them from an outside source. We have used the Poster Maker to create materials for recruitment, staff recognition, special events and more. The Cold Laminator is so quick and easy to use and you never had to wait for it to warm up to get started like a regular laminator. We have used the Cutout Maker for everything from classroom materials to take-home activities for parents to use with their children. We especially appreciate the ease of use and the ability to choose a variety of sizes for any individual cut out.
Overall, we couldn’t be more pleased with our investment. These tools are a ‘must see’ for any program!"
"I just wanted to write and tell you how excited I am to have just purchased the new VariQuest Poster (Maker) 3600. I am upgrading from an older model and really appreciate some of the modifications on the new machine. Our DECA Chapter uses the poster machine as a fundraising tool and we are looking forward to helping other organizations and teachers here at Timberland.
I didn’t think that the automatic cutting feature was going to be a very useful feature, but I was wrong thankfully. When processing large orders, I no longer had to babysit the machine to cut each poster as it was completed. This freed me to do other things while the system was running.
I also am so very impressed with the level of resolution when scanning directly into the machine. Pictures that we have converted to posters just look great! I can’t wait to start producing poster sized baseball-style cards of our students for recognition.
The addition of the automatic supply sensor is another good addition. It would be frustrating in the past to begin a poster and then not be able to complete it. Now I will always know how much paper I have on hand.
Last but certainly not least, the new design software is great. It takes about ten minutes to be able to create anything you need. The templates are great and easy to use no matter what your level of computer skill. I am truly impressed with the speed at which I was able to produce banners and posters the very first time I used the printer.
In short, I am very happy with the VariQuest 3600. I just received an order this morning for 15 posters after an administrator saw the quality of the materials we can produce."

"We couldn’t be happier. Our school’s recent purchase of a Varitronics Poster Maker 3600 has enabled our teachers to prepare specific, write-on, teaching posters to significantly enhance their instruction. From labeling parts of a plant to write-on maps, the instructional use is limitless. Teachers also use it to make posters of classroom rules and procedures, word lists, problem solving models, and many other year round teaching visuals. Our PTO officers have used it to make posters announcing special events and activities. The machine has given us the opportunity to immediately get an 8 1/2" x 11" master design made into a poster size attention getter, fast! Thanks to our wonderful PTO for funding this purchase. We are still discovering new uses for the (Poster Maker) 3600."

"Our school has been using our Poster Maker in several different ways:
-Teachers made posters of important things they wanted parents to know at our Curriculum Night
-Teachers have been making posters of study habits to post, so students have constant reminders
-Teachers have made visual-aides for resources in their classrooms
This is just a beginning list, which we hope to expand upon in the months to come.
The Poster Maker has been a great added addition to our equipment list. Teachers have been able to take their own resources and enlarge them for everyone to see. The cold laminator works wonders to preserve these resources, so they can be used in the future.
We hope to be able to fund extra items for the student recognition part. We feel this would be a great motivational aspect for all students. However, just as with the Poster Maker, it will take time to save the money for such a purpose.
I can definitely say, our Poster Maker is being used, and will be used many times over in the future."
Thank you,
The staff of Traughber Jr. High

"We had to send you a letter letting you know how excited we all are about our newest purchase of the Varitronics Poster Maker/Printer.
Our staff has a long list of posters that they plan on making for their classrooms and school. They include the following:
- Classroom Expectations
- School Spirit Song
- Bus Rules
- "I Care" Rules
- Book Fair
- Spirit Wear Sales
- Memory Book Sale
- Spring Musical
These are just a few of the many, many posters that are helping us create a fun filled, exciting learning environment for our Kindergartners.
There are many positive comments we can make about the Varitronics Poster Maker but one that we appreciate the most is how easy and convenient it is to use. Even with all the different options, it is quite user friendly.
We had a demonstration at our school for all the staff to see if this was something that could be useful in our everyday classrooms and of course, we felt it would be. We were very fortunate because our District Office agreed with us and purchased it for us."

"We are currently using our Poster Maker to make inspirational posters to hang in our hallways. We have a different character theme for each month and have made separate posters stating those themes. It is a good reminder for the students throughout the month. Some of these include: “Honesty”, “Cooperation”, “Tolerance”, and “Commitment”.
The teachers are also making posters to cover various subject matters and projects. This really helps get the point across to the students. The teachers love it!
The posters give us a finished, professional look.
Our funding for purchasing the Poster Maker was provided by the PTO groups from both McGraw and Weatherbee schools."

"I am writing to notify you of our recent purchase of the VariQuest Poster Maker 3600 in the Office of Residence Life at Colorado State University and inform you of the ways we have been able to utilize the Poster Maker. This machine is used on a daily basis by undergraduate Residence Assistants (RAs), graduate Assistant Resident Directors (ARDs), professional Resident Directors (RDs), and a variety of other staff members to add creativity to their work with college students. The Poster Maker is located in the Durrell Center Resource Room alongside other craft materials used for a variety of projects.
The fall semester brings with it the beginning of the academic year and the move in of more than 5,000 students onto the CSU campus. RAs use the Poster Maker to blow up maps of campus, the city of Fort Collins, the calendars of events planned for welcoming new students on to campus. At that time of the year it is not uncommon to see at least one poster hanging in each floor of our 11 residence halls. We get many artistic RAs who want to showcase their creativity by using the Poster Maker to enlarge their original drawings, computer designs, and sketches. CSU publishes many different lists of important dates, 101 things to so before you graduate and other publications of interest to students. Staff members regularly bring in a page torn out of their CSU planner or the student catalogue so they can hang an enlarged version on a bulletin board or door. In an effort to diversify our advertising techniques many staff members will enlarge flyers created by our graphic designers to catch the eye of potential program participants.
In addition to student use, the professional staff has used the Poster Maker to enlarge forms used for RA selection, so the entire staff can see where RAs are being placed for the upcoming year. Banners, posters, and flyers have been designed for staff celebrations and large scale meetings within the department. Other departments have approached us asking to use the Poster Maker for use in advertising their programs and enlarging forms for staff training and development. In fact, the CSUnity committee, charged with planning a day-long community service event is using the Poster Maker to enlarge maps of the meeting areas so volunteers can find their team members.
The Poster Maker and other machines used with the Design Center have opened up the possibilities of our programming efforts and given us an avenue to be unique and innovative in our staff meetings, training sessions, and campus wide committees. From day one we have been using the Poster Maker for enlarging small flyers to large posters and every day find a new way to utilize this piece of equipment. When using the Poster Maker we have seen an increase in attendance at programs and enlargement at meetings, something we never would have expected... Thank you for the opportunity to benefit from a quality product."

"The Poster Maker has become an integral vehicle to post student results as we monitor progress in achievement and behavior.
In order to help make our strategic plan visible to our students, staff and community, we have made posters of our mission, goals and pledge which are posted throughout the school. Classroom mission posters are proudly displayed in each classroom.
Making our goals and results visible to everyone who enters our school is the biggest need our Poster Maker fulfills. It assists us as we strive to have our progress and results apparent.
We felt that the Poster Maker would be a valuable tool to help us live our mission, so we funded it through our school budget. It has proven to be invaluable."
Sincerely,

"I would like to tell you how beneficial the Poster Maker has been to our school. As an administrator, I am in constant need of material being enlarged for various events including book fairs, family nights and other meetings. I have always ended up doing this work myself at outside providers, assigning other staff to do it or outsourcing the projects altogether. With the Poster Maker, all of these issues are resolved.
The ease and simplicity of the Poster Maker is amazing. I can design and print a poster as easy as designing a memo to my teachers. The teachers of our school love using the Poster Maker to print posters relating to various classroom topics, as well as on bulletin boards for a very professional look. I enjoy using it for a variety of reasons including: reminding staff of important meetings, inviting parents to community events and publicizing school events for our students.
The Poster Maker was funded through our local school funds. After meeting with a representative of the product, I decided to try it out. It has exceeded my expectations and I highly encourage other schools to purchase it as well."

"Meadowview School is absolutely delighted with our Poster Maker. We use it to enlarge and post many of the Graphic Organizers we have developed over the years to help students with Problem Solving, Reading and Writing. Previously this meant many hours of pasting together many parts to make a large poster. Now we create a standard 8 x 11 that we provide to new teachers, so that we are all on the same page when it comes to modeling and presentation.
Though we had to tuck in our belts in other areas, we made the decision that this was a wonderful way to use our building funds that would pay us back many times in the future. Among other things, we are contemplating ways that other buildings in our school district can reimburse us if they choose this wonderful resource."
Sincerely,
Sandra Duran

"I just had to take a moment to let you know that we have discovered another wonder of the world: the Poster Maker and Cold Laminator! There isn’t a day that goes by since we purchased the equipment that we don’t say, “How did we get along without it?
Teachers use the Poster Maker to post the student-generated rubrics and criteria charts in their rooms. Standards are posted large enough for students to read. We need a sign to direct parents to a meeting and voila—the Poster Maker enlarges a computer-printed sign. Posted in a showcase is an enlarged list of classrooms with high monthly attendance. We have some permanent large signs that we use to announce Student Council meetings or Bilingual Parents meetings. We welcomed our parents to our Holiday Music Show with a sign we enlarged, painted, laminated and posted in front of our auditorium.
It is now so easy to make classroom materials and professional-looking signs with our Poster Maker."

"Haines School purchased the Poster Maker with funds from the Parent / Teacher Organization and the Paper Recycling Fund. Even though we haven’t had the Poster Maker for very long, it has already become a valuable tool for Haines.
We used the Poster Maker to create large pictures of students as a decoration for our First-Grade Musical. We also made posters for our Awards Assembly. We print large posters of our school sing for classrooms to improve school spirit.
We are very glad that we were able to purchase the Poster Maker. It will save us money on poster printing costs. We know that we will find more uses for the Poster Maker in the years to come."
Sincerely,
Susan Futterer

"I would like to tell you how happy my staff and I are with our Poster Maker. My teachers use the Poster Maker to enlarge charts, graphs, classroom rules and creative projects made by students. We recently used the Poster Maker to enlarge the names of local businesses who contributed to our Walk-A-Thon for a school in Mississippi.
Our computers cannot print large-enough letters or pictures to be displayed in the classroom. The Poster Maker allows us to enlarge all kinds of projects that can easily be seen by everyone in the room and school. The Poster Maker is a valuable teaching aid for my staff. It’s hard to believe we have gone this many years without one!!
The Poster Maker was funded through discretionary money the school receives through Supplemental General State Aid. Our Local School Council and teachers all feel that the money spent for the Poster Maker was a great investment for our students."
Sincerely,

"We are very pleased with our Poster Maker. We have found our system to be beneficial for classroom use in poster projects that will be used from year to year. We like the fact that the paper can be laminated as well! It is also useful to have posters available for large group functions such as our “Registration Fair” or for meetings.
Your support staff recently provided preventative maintenance to our system. The service was scheduled to our convenience and the Representative presented herself in a very professional manner. When contacting Varitronics by phone for supply orders or technical support, we receive prompt and courteous service. Our orders are shipped without delay.
Merton Community School District thanks you for your excellent product and service."

"We are using our Poster Maker in a variety of ways. First and foremost, we are using it to increase student learning. The Poster Maker allows us to make multiple large posters of essential skills and ideas to be placed in our classrooms for consistency across grade levels. We have also used the Poster Maker to create large posters welcoming grandparents to our Grandparents’ Day Celebration, and parents to our Parent /Teacher Conferences.
The use of the Poster Maker in combination with the Cold Laminator allows students to write on the posters and share their ideas. The posters can then be reused. The Poster Maker ensures that all of our classrooms have access to the same materials in a large, easy-to-read format. The students at our school have benefited from consistency in the teaching of ideas and strategies, and the level of student learning has increased. The entire school community has enjoyed the large, colorful posters announcing events and activities."

"I wanted you know how pleased the staff in ISD 15 Early Childhood programs are with the VariQuest die cut (Cutout Maker) machine that we purchased earlier this year. Prior to purchasing this product we traveled to on of our elementary schools to use their small die cut machine. It took lots of time and teachers were limited in what they could do. At first we were hesitant and debated the cost; a teachers suggested we ask our Advisory Council to help support the purchase. The parents were very enthusiastic and admitted that they thought our bulletin boards and display items could use some pizzazz. They supported the entire cost of the unit! They got the funds through one fundraiser with parents.
Since we got the die cut machine, I have been amazed with the ways teachers have used the machine. They have used the machine and laminator for parts of art projects, for locker, name, and snack tags. Book marks for I Love to read month, game pieces, bulletin boards, and patterning shapes. Our front bulletin board is always fresh and entices people to look at it because of the interesting fonts and shapes that can be cut in different sizes; it is great for creating games and activities that teach seriation or engaging children in patterning activities.
Teachers tell me that this machine is a real timesaver for them. They create pieces in a matter of minutes and while the machine cuts out the items, they can prepare other materials for the day. Because it is so fast, teachers are able to individualize games to specific interest of children (i.e. cut out dinosaurs for one child’s matching activity and frogs for another child’s). They really appreciate doing only one cutting… previously, they would do a die cut, then laminate and then cut out the laminated piece.
The shapes are very detailed… more so than most teachers would ever want to cut themselves. The variety of sizes is very helpful when creating classroom materials. Teachers have become very creative during the year, and because we also have the laminator, they are keeping the cutout to use again.
It is also very easy to learn. In our programs, volunteers do much of the work with the die cut machine. It is easy to teach them how to do it and they are able to set up task without supervision. The machine is also very dependable. Other than changing a cutter or two, we’ve have not needed any service.
The VariQuest tool has turned out to be more than we expected."

"My name is Erica Huls and I am the Technology Specialist for South view Elementary in Waconia, MN. I am writing to share my observations about the latest technological tool we have added to our 21st century arsenal here at Southview: the Varitronics Cutout Maker.
At the end of the last school year our Principal, PTO President and I were looking at the latest and greatest in technology for schools (our PTO raises money through fundraiser to help us buy products like the Cutout Maker). We gave all worked hard to buy and incorporate products like scanners, teacher laptops, computer labs, digital cameras, iPods, and SMART boards into our school- yet we were still using the same ol’ method of die cutting. Our poor teachers were looking through hundreds of “blocks” that looked like they were from the 18th century (but with 21st century pricing) and spending hours of manual labor cutting out shapes and letters. All we saw was tons of wasted time and effort… not to mention paper.
We had a demonstration from your company shortly after that and we were blown away by all of your products. Of course we wanted them all, but we started with our greatest needs the Cutout Maker. The product is so simple to use there were virtually no training needed for my staff. The touch-screen on the central PC unit was a brilliant addition and knowing that we can but additional Varitronics product at any time and just plug them into that same central unit was the deciding factor in our purchasing it.
This time our teachers are die-cutting everything: classroom rules, station names, picture words bulletin boards, take home calendars & art projects. More importantly, they are saving time and we are saving money (on paper use and new shapes which are a fraction of the cost of the old blocks). We are a K-4 building with lots of growth and some of our new teachers won’t put anything on their walls unless it has been run through the Cutout Maker so it visually matches the rest of their room. Walking around the school everything looks so much neater and more professional… not to mention colorful and engaging to the students’ eyes.
We have only scratched the service of how we plan to use the Cutout Maker in our school. As we are able to afford more shapes and expand our digital library we are excited by the endless possibilities of visual learning for our kids."
Sincerely,
Erica Huls,

"We purchased a VariQuest Poster and Award Maker this past Spring.
Since that time we have made welcoming posters for every event at the school including Parents nights, tournaments and meetings. We hang the posters in the front foyer so they are the first thing guests to the school see. Everyone comments on how great they look.
This year because we were able to produce our own awards plaques using the VariQuest we were able to recognize many more students at Awards ceremonies and Graduation.
It’s a great machine. We are glad we used some of the funds from our chocolate fundraiser to purchase it."

"District 111 Purchased the Awards Maker about a month ago and was able to use it for making awards for the district spelling bee just a few days later. We plan to make another plaque for the district spelling champion who place second in the regional spelling bee. We will continue to make plaques for our students and staff for outstanding achievement, such as valedictorian/salutatorian and teachers who have been with the district 25 years. As time goes on, the uses and ideas are sure to increase, but for now, we just needed to make plaques.
We’ve always had the need to show recognition to outstanding students and staff, but many times we simply made certificates from the Print Shop or Publisher. We now have a quick and easy way to make professional looking awards.
The Awards Maker was funded through general school district funds.
I am writing this testimonial in response to the testimonial promotion included in the paperwork and am requesting a free ribbon for the Award Maker in place of the poster paper (we do not have the poster machine).
I’ve answered the questions asked, but also have a few comments I’d like to share. My favorite part about the program is how easy it is to use. It’s self-explanatory and fast. Our imported logo and clip art worked great too. I would like to see, in the future, the ability to be able to be able to move and resize the text boxes and pictures boxes. A blank page and the option to add picture/text boxed would be best.
Sincerely,
Michele Mendoza,

"I would like to take this opportunity to give accolades to the Brady/Varitronics Company and the Awards Maker 400. The technical support and training from the company was magnificent! The Awards Maker 400 has given us the ability to produce quality awards and stickers at a fraction of the cost of ordering from the trophy shops and catalogs. Like many schools, we are short of money, and need to spend it wisely. This product will pay for itself in short period of time! I would highly recommend this product to any school!"
