"Saint Louis Community College at Forest Park Media Services Department has been using a Varitronics "Pro Image" PosterPrinter since 1990. It has been the single most reliable piece of equipment we have ever purchased. Since that time the only thing we needed to replace was the paper cutter. The PosterPrinter gets used every day by various departments on the Forest Park Campus and everyone likes the fact that they can bring their 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper down and instantly make a poster that fits their needs. The PosterPrinter is easy to use and very convenient for the staff and faculty when they are in a rush for a poster.

Recently we have replaced the Varitronics "Pro Image" with the new 2006 model and have added a few new components to it. The Design Center is a big hit with the faculty and staff and gives their posters a more professional look. We have also added the Awards Maker. This component is great for the Physical Education department and with Student Activities. It is easy to use and really looks professional and we have lots of fun making the awards for the different departments. The old PosterPrinter was great but since we have purchased the 2006 model we can't believe we lived without it all these years.

Our school's recent purchase of a Varitronics Poster Maker 3600 has enabled our teachers to prepare specific, write-on, teaching posters to significantly enhance their instruction. From labeling parts of a plant to write-on maps, the instructional use is limitless. Teachers also use it to make posters of classroom rules and procedures, word lists, problem solving models, and many other year round teaching visuals. Our PTO officers have used it to make posters announcing special events and activities. "We are currently using our Poster Maker to make inspirational posters to hang in our hallways. We have a different character theme for each month and have made separate posters stating those themes. The teachers are also making posters to cover various subject matters and projects. This really helps get the point across to the students. The teachers love it!
